Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thailand fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competing with the UFC flyweight division. She is older than her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title in the finals and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko won her second medal in 2007, winning a bronze in 2008, the gold in 2011, and then was named the 2016. IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion. Antonia's professional debut was in 2003. She won in 2012 in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship as well as in the year 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she was the winner of the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Keskikangas of the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut took place in 2002, in the KFK Cup event of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was able to win in the second round of a TKO fight and her subsequent two fights at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on the sport of kickboxing. She returned against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote and she then beat Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior strike techniques for the fight to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. After this win, Antonina received an UFC contract. Antonina did her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale to be fought by Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Kim via unanimous decision but lost her subsequent fight to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina came back from losing after defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the fight-ofthe-night prize. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
